I woke up and met my mom and aunt for coffee at the CNN center. My aunt was taking a greyhound back to Charlotte last minute and they had an hour to waste. After that was band practice, which went good. We are playing saturday in Athens at the Tasty World with the Bridges and Ponderosa. I think it will be a fun time. Then I watched this. Which was of course, badass. Next was coffee and metal on the backporch with Brian. (picture Bruce Dickinson sitting on one of the tree branches above out porch singing with a strong vibrato: "mmmmmmeeetaaaaaallllllllllllll!!!!") After I got a good dosage of dragon slaying, I went and saw Ryan Adams at the Fox. I am not writing this entry to brag and talk about how indescribable it was or how my life has changed and I am going to do something unnecessary like poop bricks. No. It was great and I had a good time. Enough said. After the show I ate ate the Buddha.... mmm. Now I am back at home not doing homework like i should be. Nope, instead I am listening to Fionn Regan and wishing I had a real distraction from life.

I have been on a movie kick for sure lately. Today I saw "Fat Girl" ...
i don't recommend it. I usually appreciate movies like this one, but for some reason (well a lot of them, i didn't care for it) I am about to watch "Reign Over Me." You know.. the Adam Sandler one. I have no expectations, so maybe it will be good? I was supposed to go to Statesboro with Marta and Lori but I can't and I am bummed about it. We were going to go to the fair and look at the Carnies and Townies. Too bad. Had coffee with katie culp tonight, twas quite pleasant. Tonight's Office wasn't my favorite episode. Dang, I really don't watch that much TV or movies, but you wouldn't be able to tell by how much I talk about it on this thingy. Brian comes in town tomorrow... should be fun.

Sonata Arctica! is consuming my room right now. I think I go to Octane too much, but that's alright with me. If someone ever drugged me and tried to take my kidneys out, they would probably smell coffee beans. I spent $97 on myself at Kroger. Ballin ballin. I am about to watch Letters From Iwo Jima... looks good. I think everyone should have their own personal ultimate band. Like the one band that sums you up totally, every aspect of you. I can't think of mine. It would have to be a cluster!@#$%$%^^&**(()((*&*&^%$^%#@$#@# of genres. dang. Is there a time when it's too late to "catch up" with someone? Like you were never super close to a friend, but you wanna see how he/she is doing? For some reason I have wanted to do that lately, but I don't want to be weird... "Oh he, what's up? .... ... . . . oh nothing, you?" blehhh maybe not. I am trying to make a playlist that will capture the darker side of powermetal. I will keep you updated on this. Speaking of music...new radiohead. I haven't bought it yet but I think I will in a few minutes. I haven't decided on my price yet. I like Radiohead, but I am not a believer like so many of my friends. Not sure why. Kinda like Death Cab, never really jumped on that bandwagon either. Or Saves the Day. Tomorrow we have to watch a porn in my Film class. Should be interesting.. Okay, I am going to go watch a movie about bombs.

I am in a good place. It's nice to take a step back and watch situations unfold amongst friends. A part of me is jealous, but I'm okay with it. It's not a bitter jealousy... more of a "my time better come too" jealousy.
